This vintage Mother of Pearl Brooch is sweet. First of all take a look at the close up and notice the rainbow of colors in the nacre of the pin. There is as much color in this vintage piece of jewelry as you would expect to see in a great opal.

The next thing you will notice is all the carving and pierced work in the detail of the design. It is lovely and very intricate. The brooch is carved of one large peice of Mother of Pearl.

Mother of pearl is an organic which should be treated the same way you would your precious South Seas Pearls.

The brooch is over 2" x 1.5" in size and in excellent condition.
