This Mosaic jewelry is a souviner from the Grand Tour in the 1800's.
The Grand Tour was very popular and a must for the Victorian for Upper Class from the 1600's to the 1800's.
This antique pin can be dated by it design. It does have it' s c catch as pictured.The tesserae or tiny glass tiles are much more detailed in older versions of this type of Italian jewelry.The colors are richer with more detail.
The Antique pin is 1 1/8" x 7/8". The condition is excellent vintage. The pin is signed Made Italia. The findings are gold gilt over brass. The Mosiac is in a Saw Tooth setting. The flower designs are separated by twisted wire.
