1920's French Art Deco Era Carnelian Fashion Ring U with an arrow through it for the for the Uncas Manufacturing Co. 1911 to present. The logo U with the arrow through it started in 1920's. This vintage ring features a huge Carnelian type stone with wonderfully faceted edges which really gives the stone a translucent sparkle. The stone is approx. 15mm high x 9mm. Have a look at all the geometric design work on the stone which is a semi circle with the faceting going along both sides. The wonderful deco designed prongs that hold the stone securely. Then the ring shank again lovely geometric steps. All this represents the French Deco Design. French Deco has a very certain look. Just lovely. The ring looks like it is platinum plated or at the very least white gold plating. Ring size is 6. This is not an Art Deco style when you find so many ads that call their new jewelry antique. This is the real deal and it is in wonderful antique condition. French Deco is wonderful. This is the type of ring style that you might find in the Art Nouveau/Deco jewelry reference guides.
